I played truant today.

I went to sit for my “O” level English examination at New Town Secondary School. Wake up at 6 plus and then went to took a cab. I was at a loss when I reached there. So went to make an inquiry at the general office. To my surprise, there was no one inside except the cleaner. I played with the bell. No one responds.

Later I saw a teacher approaching me. She directed me to the school hall.  Some are already waiting outside the hall. I went to find a seat and looking through the format. Then suddenly, I heard a voice. She was talking to me and I realized that she is a foreigner who came Singapore one year ago. She was taking all the “O” level subjects. I saw her entry proof. She took all the subjects including Additional Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics and also Principle of Accounts. TRIPLE MATH! After a while, a lady who is about 20s approached to us. She asked to take a look on my notes and she was shocked!  She was actually studying based on the old format.

Now then I realized New Town Secondary has an air-conditioned hall.  They installed 13 sets of air-cons! I never bring my jacket and I was feeling very cold during paper 1. After that, there was a 10mins break. The foreigner and I went to take our bags and I saw her jackets in her bags. I quickly ask her to lend me her jacket. Of course she consented. Then at least I can have warmth during the Paper 2.

Overall the paper is a bit difficult compared to last year. Hope that I can score better than previous one.
